Building work is finished.
Our 18 month and £800,000 upgrade is over.
Phase 2 gives us wide corridors that are much easier to navigate and six new rooms with modern bathrooms. The first floor has a wonderful atrium that can be used by residents and their relatives. On the ground floor, in addition to the resident rooms, there is a new medical room, staff room and disabled lavatory.
It has proved necessary in the building process to replace the home’s boilers and most of the fire alarm system. Lots of other minor improvements have been made with extensive extra decoration. We can anticipate some minor disruption over the summer while a gas main is replaced requiring a trench near or next to the driveway.
